Can I integrate Be Collective into our website?
Yes, you can! The Be Collective platform can be nested within your website as a volunteer portal quickly and easily by our in-house development team, with your own branding and messaging alongside your Be Collective opportunity listings and group profile.

How does it work?
Content is taken dynamically from your Be Collective group and presented to your users through a set of 'widgets' which can be embedded easily into your site.
This process is easy - we provide you or your web development team with snippets of code for each widget, and each code snippet is inserted into your webpage's HTML. This is a very similar procedure to embedding a YouTube video into your site.
What is a widget?
A widget runs a small portion of a website, nested within another website. For instance, the ? button you may notice on the bottom-right corner of Be Collective is a widget that runs a portion of this help centre. Widgets are a quick and easy way to add more functionality to your website.
What widgets are available?
Opportunities
This widget allows volunteers to search and filter opportunities you’ve created through Be Collective without leaving your website.
You can curate the list to show opportunities for your organisation, as well as those you have endorsed from your partner network.
Each opportunity opens within the widget, with the Apply now button taking users to the application process in the Be Collective app.
Featured Opportunities This widget can be used to highlight three of the most recently created or endorsed opportunities to your users.
It is best used on your homepage as a feature to capture visitors' interest and encourage them to find out more information about newly created or endorsed opportunities.
Articles Articles published in your Be Collective group profile can be shared through one of our Articles widgets. These widgets can be used to create news or blog sections on your website to share relevant content with your community.
This widget will display the full list of articles you have published in your Be Collective group profile.
To publish a new article, you will need to log in to your account directly through the Be Collective platform and create a new article under your group.
Each article also opens within the widget, with a call to action linking to an opportunity, event or your group page in Be Collective.
Featured Articles This widget feature three (or more) of your newest articles as tiles with a thumbnail and introductory text.
Resources The Resources page in your Be Collective group profile is a space where you can upload files that would be useful for your volunteers. These can include FAQ documents, induction packs, maps, or anything else you would like to make available for volunteers to download.
The Resources widget links through to the files you have uploaded to your group’s Resources page.
Management Portal This widget provides a useful set of functions to manage your group and opportunities through several common tasks. For full group management functionality, we encourage you to log in directly to the Be Collective platform.
To access group management, you will first need to log in as an owner or administrator of your Be Collective group.
Partnership Registration This widget will guide interested partners through Be Collective account creation and automatically create a partnership between your group and theirs in the process. This will then afford you and any partner the ability to share opportunities across both of your volunteer communities.
