How do I deactivate multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

Remove an MFA method

1. Open Settings → Account details

2. Under Multi-factor authentication, find the method to remove (SMS or Authenticator App)

3. Click Remove

4. Confirm in the Remove {method} as MFA method? dialog by clicking Remove

Notes

• MFA is managed per method. You can have SMS and Authenticator App active at the same time.
• Removing SMS does not always remove your phone number from the account; you can update an SMS number without removing Authenticator App MFA.
• If management features require MFA, removing all methods will lock Manage my groups / create group until MFA is enabled again.
