How do I endorse an opportunity?

This article shows group managers how to endorse an opportunity shared by another group on Be Collective.

Volunteer managers can choose to either endorse a single opportunity or all opportunities from a group.

Endorse a single opportunity

1. Find and open the opportunity you would like to endorse
2. Click the Endorse button shown next to the opportunity title

You'll be able to see if the group holds current public liability insurance and volunteer accident insurance, but you will not be able to see their policy number or details.

1. If you own multiple groups, select one or more groups as endorsers from the dropdown menu
2. Click Endorse

Quick tip: Endorsing will display the opportunity on your group's opportunities list. Your members can complete this opportunity through your organisation, contributing the hours to your group's social impact report.

Endorse all opportunities from a group

1. Visit the group you would like to endorse opportunities from

2. Click the three dots button on the right-hand side of the navigation bar

3. Click Endorse all

Remove endorsements

1. Open your group management page

2. Open the Opportunities tab

3. In the Endorsed section, click the X in the Action column next to the opportunity to withdraw the endorsement

The group hosting the opportunity will not be notified of this change, so we suggest you contact them through Be Collective messenger or email to inform them if necessary.

Will my volunteers be affected if I withdraw an endorsement? No — withdrawing an endorsement simply removes the opportunity from your group's opportunities feed. All volunteer applications for the opportunity made through your endorsement before you withdraw it will remain intact. Any volunteer hours completed as a result of applications made through the endorsement will also remain on any reports you generate through Be Collective.
