How do I make a donation through Be Collective?
This article shows users how to make a donation to a group on Be Collective.
Making a donation on Be Collective is easy. If you've found a group using Be Collective to take donations, you'll see a donations panel on their Be Collective group page.
Make a donation
- Select an amount you'd like to donate, or select Other and enter a custom amount
The amount you donate will be taken in the local currency of the group. For example, if the group is based in New Zealand and you're based in Australia, your donation will be processed in New Zealand dollars.
With an amount selected or entered, the donations panel will expand to show a payment form.
Review Name and Email — these are pre-populated from your Be Collective profile but can be modified if required
In Card number, enter your card number, card expiry date and CVC (card verification value)
Optionally enter a message in the Message field
Review the transaction details below the form
Cover the service fee — check this box to cover the service and credit card fee as part of your transaction. If unchecked, fees are deducted from your nominated donation amount. If checked, the group receives your donation amount in full and fees are added on top.
I want to be anonymous — check this box if you'd prefer not to disclose your name and email with your donation.
- Click Make donation
A receipt will be sent by email to the address you've provided in the donation form.
