How do I start a family group?

Children under the age of 13 are required to be part of a Family Group to have a Be Collective profile. A Family Group is created and owned by a parent or guardian where they can:

  • Create a profile for a child under 13 years of age

  • Manage and monitor their activity on Be Collective

  • Browse through volunteer opportunities that are suitable for children under 13

  • Add an additional parent or guardian to their Family Group

Create a family group

  1. Open My dashboard, then Settings
  2. On the Account tab, scroll to the bottom and click Create a family group

  1. Read the guidelines in the pop-up carefully. If you'd like to proceed, click Create a family group again in the dialog
  2. Name your family group (for example, "The Roberts Family"), then click Done

You can then open your family group from Go to family group under Settings, or from the new My family group tab. From there, add children or other parents/guardians with Add a member.
