How do I update the phone number I use for multi-factor authentication (MFA)?
You do not need to turn MFA off completely.
Update your MFA phone number
Open Settings → Account details
Under Multi-factor authentication, find the SMS row
Click Update
Enter the new number and complete verification
If you only use an Authenticator App, you may not have an SMS number to update. Add SMS with Add authentication method if you want SMS as well.
