What is multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second check when you log in, after your password.

Be Collective supports:

  • Mobile Authenticator App (recommended) — a code generated in an app such as Google Authenticator
  • SMS — a code sent to your mobile phone

Why use MFA?

It helps protect your account if someone else learns your password.

Who needs MFA?

Anyone can enable MFA. For volunteer managers, management features (including Manage my groups and creating a group) can stay locked until MFA is enabled.
