Exporting groups

This article shows group managers how to export their group's hierarchy data in CSV format.

Group data exports are available only to Be Collective Full Platform subscribers. To learn more about Be Collective's subscription plans, please see the Help Centre article linked below:

Be Collective's product plans & pricing

The Groups export lists all child groups within your group hierarchy, and includes the fields listed in the table below. If the group you run this report for is not the parent group in a hierarchy, this report will be empty.

All fields within the Groups export are taken from each group's Be Collective profile. These fields are updated automatically if and when a administrator or owner of the child group updates that group's details in group management.

For instance, if you export My Groups on the 1st of each month and an administrator of 'Child Group A' changes the group's name to 'Child Group 1' on 14 April, the new name for that child group will be shown on your May export.

NameThe name of the child group

Member typesThe member types used by the child group

Number of membersThe number of approved and active members of the child group

Number of engaged volunteersThe number of approved and active members of the child group who are participating in a volunteer opportunity managed by the child group at the time of export

Number of opportunitiesThe number of current volunteer opportunities managed by the child group.

Number of eventsThe number of current volunteer events managed by the child group.

Logged hoursThe total number of hours logged by volunteers in the child group's volunteer opportunities to date

Social impact valueThe total social impact value of hours logged by volunteers in the child group's volunteer opportunities to date. This is shown in the child group's local currency

Group typeThe group type of the child group

Fundraising enabledWhether or not the child group has enabled fundraising in Be Collective

CausesThe causes the child group supports (if selected)

LocationThe location of the child group (suburb/town/city)

WebsiteThe website of the child group (if selected)

Insurance auspiced organisationThe organisation listed as auspicing the child group's insurance (if applicable and provided)

Public liability insuranceWhether or not the child group has provided details of a public liability insurance policy

Public liability insurance vendorThe provider of the child group's public liability insurance policy (if provided)

Public liability insurance valueThe insured value of the child group's public liability insurance policy (if provided)

Public liability insurance policy numberThe policy number of the child group's public liability insurance policy (if provided)

Public liability insurance expiry dateThe expiry date of the child group's public liability insurance policy (if provided)

Volunteer accident insuranceWhether or not the child group has provided details of a volunteer accident insurance policy

Volunteer accident insurance vendorThe provider of the child group's volunteer accident insurance policy (if provided)

Volunteer accident insurance valueThe insured value of the child group's volunteer accident insurance policy (if provided)

Volunteer accident insurance policy numberThe policy number of the child group's volunteer accident insurance policy (if provided)

Volunteer accident insurance expiry dateThe expiry date of the child group's volunteer accident insurance policy (if provided)
