How can I find volunteering opportunities?
You can search for volunteering opportunities at any time via the Be Collective website without being registered or logged in by visiting the relevant link below for your region:
- Australia & New Zealand: app.becollective.com/search/opportunities
- United Kingdom: uk.becollective.com/search/opportunities
Make sure the correct region is shown in the top right-hand corner to see opportunities in your area.
Search for opportunities (logged out or logged in)
Open the opportunities search page for your region (links above), or open Search in the left sidebar, then the Opportunities tab
Use the search bar to look for something specific
Narrow results by entering your location, or select Include remote for remote opportunities
Filter using Skills, Causes, and Suitable for
Scroll through the results and click an opportunity to read more
If you are under 18 and logged in
Your search bar and opportunity results may look slightly different. To help ensure a safe online environment for young people, volunteers under 18 can only interact with verified groups and apply for youth accessible opportunities.
If Be Collective recognises you as under 18, the Youth accessible checkbox is selected in the search bar by default. You can unselect it to view all available opportunities, but as an under 18 volunteer you will only be able to apply for roles deemed suitable for your age range. You can identify these in the opportunity description and summary view.
How do I apply to an opportunity?
Volunteering through Be Collective is easy. Click through to any opportunity tagged for your age range, read the volunteer role description, and find out how long and when you'd be needed to volunteer.
