How do I add a child (under 13) to a family group?
This article shows users how to invite a child (under 13) to Be Collective through their family group.
To add a child (under 13) to Be Collective, you first need to create a family group. This allows you as a parent or guardian – and any other parents or guardians who join the family group – to oversee the activity of all under 13s within that group.

How do I start a family group?
Add a child to your family group
Open My dashboard, then the My family group tab
Click Add a member
Click Create an account for a child
Enter the child's details:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Password
- Date of birth
- Emergency contact details (default to you, but can be changed)
Click Create an account for a child
Two emails will be sent to the child's email address – one inviting them to sign up, and one with a verification code.
Child activates their account
Share the login details you created with your child
The child logs in to Be Collective using their email and the password you set
When prompted on the sign-in page, enter the 6-digit verification code from the email
