How do I fundraise for a Be Collective group as a group manager?
This article shows group managers how to fundraise for another group on Be Collective.
If you're a group manager and you've found another Be Collective group or event that takes donations, you can share their donations panel to your group's Be Collective profile.
Fundraise as a group manager
- Open the donations panel you'd like to share (on the group's or event's public page)
- Click Learn more next to Want to help us raise money?
A pop-up opens where you can configure your fundraiser.
Select the profile you'd like to fundraise from — Personal Profile is selected by default, but as a group manager you can select any group you manage from the drop-down menu
Set a personal fundraising target
Enter a Thank you message (included in the automated email sent to anyone who donates through your fundraiser)
Tell people why you're fundraising on behalf of the group
Check the box to acknowledge that you understand you're fundraising for another organisation and not you/your group
Click DONE to launch your fundraiser
Your fundraiser will now be shown on your group's public Be Collective profile page. Any Be Collective user with visibility of your Be Collective group will be able to make donations here, which will be sent automatically to the group taking donations.
