How do I show or hide an article in my group's Articles widget?

If you use Be Collective's Articles widget to show articles posted in Be Collective on your organisation's website, you may wish to control which articles are shown in the widget and which ones are shown only within the Be Collective web app.

If your group has an Articles widget activated, a Publish to your external website toggle is shown at the bottom of the article editor. When toggled on, the article is shown in your website's Be Collective gateway via the Articles widget.

Hide an article from your website

1. Open your group management page and open the article in the editor

2. At the bottom of the article editor, switch Publish to your external website to the off (grey) position

3. Click Update Post to save

When Publish to your external website is toggled off, you are no longer advised that the article is required to be made visible to the public. If you wish to make the article available only to your group members on Be Collective, set Privacy to Group Members Only.

The article will still be shown on your Be Collective group page within our web app.

Show an article on your website again

1. Open the article in the editor

2. Switch Publish to your external website back on

3. Click Update Post to save

The article will appear in your group's Articles widget on your external website.
