How do I transfer a family group to another parent/guardian?

A family group on Be Collective is created and owned by a parent or guardian who can then add members to their family. Anyone under 13 years of age must belong to a family group if they wish to have a Be Collective account. Being part of a family group gives parents/guardians full visibility of the young person's activity on Be Collective.

As a family group owner, if you want to transfer the family group to another parent or guardian:

What if I wish to remove my Be Collective account and have nobody to transfer ownership of my family group to? You cannot remove your Be Collective account while you own a family group on Be Collective. This applies even if no other members, adult or child, are present in your family group.

If you are unable to transfer ownership of your family group, please contact us at help@becollective.com and our friendly Support team will assist.

Transfer a family group

1. Open My dashboard, then the My family group tab

2. Click Leave family group (bottom right)

3. In the pop-up, select a new family group owner from one of the parents or guardians already in your family group

4. Click Confirm and leave group

You will then be removed from the family group.

If there are no other parents or guardians in your family group, you will first have to add them using Add a member on the family group members page.
