How do I verify my group?

Group verification lets users on Be Collective know that your group (organisation) has the official tick of approval - literally and figuratively! Here are the reasons why groups would bother verifying themselves:

Verify your group

1. Similar to social media platform, verified status confirms a group is legitimately managed/represented by the said group. In other words, they are who they say they are.

2. Verified groups will have their group page and listed volunteer opportunities rank higher in search results.

3. To engage any volunteers on Be Collective under the age of 18, your group needs to have a verified status. As a verified group, you will be able to create youth accessible opportunities.

4.. To activate donations/fundraising for your group, the group must first verified.

To verify your group, begin on your group management page. Next, open the more menu (⋮) → Edit group, then open the Verification step in the group editor.

Information you'll need includes your organisation's legal entity name (group name), charity status and/or business number, registered address, and the principal's contact details whom can confirm this information on behalf of the entity. When you've completed this form, click Apply for Verification. A Be Collective representative will verify these details are correct, and may be in touch if necessary to confirm your details.
