How do I add qualifications to my profile?
Adding qualifications to your Be Collective profile is a great way to let volunteer managers know what you're capable of, which means they can offer you volunteer roles that best match your talents.
With your Be Collective personal account, licences, certifications and educational qualifications can only be added by you manually. If any items exist here already, they may have been added by a volunteer manager who invited you to join Be Collective, prior to you activating your account.
Qualifications are shown in two sections at the bottom of your profile page:
- Licences and certifications – driving licences, first aid, professional certifications, etc.
- Education – high school graduation, certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.
Add a licence or certification
Open My dashboard, then the Profile tab
In the Licences and certifications panel, click + Add new
In the pop-up, select the licence/certification type (compulsory) — choose Drivers Licence, First Aid Certification, or Other for a custom licence
If applicable, add an Expiry date
Click Save
To edit a licence or certification, click the pencil icon next to its name. To delete it, click the trash can icon. Removing a licence or certification is irreversible, but you can add one again if you delete it in error.
You can also add another licence or certification by clicking + Add new.
How do I add skills and experience to my profile?
Add an educational qualification
Open My dashboard, then the Profile tab
In the Education panel, click + Add new
In the pop-up, enter the Name of course (e.g. "Bachelor of Arts")
Select the Qualification level from the dropdown

Click Save
To edit a qualification, click the pencil icon next to its name. To delete it, click the trash can icon. Removing a qualification is irreversible, but you can add one again if you delete it in error.

Managers of any groups you're a member of through Be Collective will also be able to see these items, and can refer to them when matching your profile to the volunteer opportunities they offer.
