Endorsements explained

This article shows users how opportunity endorsements are used throughout Be Collective.

Providing an endorsement is a way for an organisation can lend support to a volunteer opportunity posted by another organisation.

In the majority of cases, the endorser is acting on behalf of a council, volunteer resource centre or business; the endorsee often represents a non-profit or community group. The endorser and endorsee do not need to be partnered organisations on Be Collective.

By endorsing an opportunity, the endorsing group shares the opportunity with its members, expanding the audience of the opportunity. This can useful for corporate organisations who wish to promote a volunteering opportunity to their staff. The opportunity can still be found by other prospective volunteers directly through the host organisation.
