How do I share an opportunity through social media or by email?

This article shows users how to share an opportunity through social media or by email.

Sharing an opportunity from Be Collective directly to social media or as a shareable link to paste into an email is easy.

Any opportunity can be shared, whether it's an opportunity you manage and would like to share on your organisation's social media channels or an opportunity you've seen while browsing Be Collective and would like to pass on to a friend.

Share a public opportunity (as a volunteer or visitor)

  1. Open the opportunity page you want to share

  2. Scroll to the Share link near the bottom of the page

3. Hover over Share to show sharing options

  4. Click the Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn icon, or click the Link icon to copy a shareable URL

By clicking on any of the social media icons, you will be redirected to that social media platform where a draft post or tweet will be created with a link to the opportunity.

If you click on the Link icon, a box will appear with the full link that can be easily copied by clicking Copy Link.

Share an opportunity you manage

  1. Open your group management page (How do I manage my group?)

  2. Open the Opportunities tab

  3. Find the opportunity you'd like to share and click Share under the opportunity name

  4. Click Social Share when prompted

  5. Click the appropriate link for the platform you'd like to share to

Why can't I see the Social Share button?

The Social Share button is shown only for opportunities which have been made available to all Be Collective users.

Any opportunities that have been made visible only to specific members or groups cannot be shared on social media as they would not be accessible to most users.

Are there any other ways of sharing an opportunity?

Yes — you can send an opportunity to members of your group through Be Collective's internal messenger. You can also share an opportunity with other groups' members by requesting other groups endorse your opportunity.
